About Us

At Heading for Home we believe that dogs and cats in pounds are good pets who deserve a second chance to find happy homes. Our mission is to help them find those homes. With the support of our dedicated foster carers, we make sure our animals are healthy, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite free, before finding them wonderful new homes. If you are interested in adopting from us you'll find our available animals, applications and policies on this site. We frequently blog about the bigger issues in companion animal welfare in our blog (see the menu to your left).
